Yorktown resident Michael Landolfi, age 24, has been charged with three felonies in connection with incidents that happened at a Yorktown Parks and Recreation building at 176 Granite Springs Rd. near Sparkle Lake, Yorktown Police announced on Friday, Nov. 17.

According to the department, Landolfi was first arrested following an incident on Sunday, April 16 around 1:30 a.m., when he allegedly threw rocks through the windows of the building. Landolfi was eventually apprehended on Saturday, May 6.

Following his arrest, Yorktown Police continued investigating and gathered evidence that allegedly linked Landolfi to two earlier incidents that had happened at the building in 2021 and 2022.

The first of these incidents occurred on November 19, 2021, when the department received a report of a damaged window and unlawful entry at the building. Months later, on January 9, 2022, police also received another report of a damaged window at the building. The department eventually reviewed evidence that suggested both incidents involved the same unknown suspect, authorities said.

This suspect was determined to be Landolfi, according to Yorktown Police. On Thursday, Nov. 16, Landolfi surrendered himself to the department and was arrested for the 2021 and 2022 incidents. He was charged with:

  • Third-degree burglary;
  • Two counts of third-degree criminal mischief.

Landolfi was later released on his own recognizance and will appear in the Yorktown Justice Court on Thursday, Dec. 14.
